Approvals and Accreditations

Spiralite® ducting is rapidly gaining recognition for it's obvious benefits, as well as winning approvals and accreditations from the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL)

BSRIA Report

BSRIA is a consultancy, test and research organisation for the construction and building industry. We submitted Spiralite® ducting to BSRIA for an Air Leakage/Tightness Classification and Strength Tests. It was tested in accordance with BS EN 13403:2003 'ventilation for buildings - non metallic ducts - ductwork made from insulation duct boards' and for 'Air Leakage and Air Tightness Classification and Strength' tests.

Important Note:
The test standard for ducts constructed from insulation boards uses 1500Pa as a maximum leak test pressure. Therefore, for the pressures we have achieved up to 2500Pa, the allowable leakage rates have been calculated using the same equations as for high pressure (Class C) tests on steel ductwork.

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) Approval

We have made preliminary investigations into obtaining UL approval in the United States. Kingspan® have UL approval for their KoolDuct system. Spiralite® incorporates Kingspan® board, and all other components of our system have individual UL approval. We are confident of gaining approval for Spiralite® ducting in the near future.
Other beneficial accreditations will be applied for as we promote the system around the world. For more information view Licensing Spiralite.
