“This is the first product
that we will be specifying
for our properties that
ticks all 3 boxes – quality,
sustainability and cost.
I believe that it will go a
long way towards
mitigating our Carbon
Reduction Commitments”

Steve Fuller, Head of Construction
Delivery and Store Architecture,
Marks & Spencer

“I visited the premises a month or two ago and was very impressed with the business, the facility and their strategic vision, not to mention the obvious benefits of the product. We will be using Spiralite where possible in our projects”

Darren Webb, Head of M&E Supply Chain for the Morgan Sindall Group

“We confirm that, as part of a value engineering excercise performed for our clients, including M&S and John Lewis Stores, we have investigated the use of Spiralite of pre-insulated spiral ducting and Specialite waterproof lagging on building projects (both new and refurb) being undertaken by them. We have confirmed that the products represent a cost effective alternative with other environmental benefits and, as such, have recommended their specification by our clients in forthcoming projects.

In short, we are very enthusiastic about both Spiralite and Specialits and look forward to further business development in the near future.”

Adrian Westbury, Partner, Ridge and Partners

“Spiralite is a sustainable replacement for metallic ductwork and a product which is making great in-roads into retail fit-outs. We support its use in our projects and will be specifying it”

Alec Stewart, Partner, Cundall Johnston

“Spiralite ducting is the first real innovation to be introduced into the mechanical services market in the last 15 years and Portview is getting real kudos from introducing a product that has superior quality and sustainability at a competitive price, while still allowing the property owners/users to benefit from the enhanced energy efficiencies and BREEAM credits that they get”

Stuart Norman, Business Development Executive, Portview Group

“Since the ducts can be delivered to site flat packed, we do not transport air. Estimated savings according to transportation are 90 % in proportion to ducts made of steel. Regarding installation, there are several benefits. First the weight – 2 ductworkers could easily finish 9 meters of duct on the ground and lift it up the ceiling in one operation. Then the speed of the installation – the ducts are complete with both insulation and protection suitable for the conditions in one operation. The result was that two ductworkers installed about 200 meters of insulated and weatherproof ducts a day. With practical use, as far as we have recorded, there are no signs of malfunction, weaknesses or other signs that indicates lack of quality. And it looks very nice!”

Knut Borve, Managing Director, Hardanger Teknikk AS (referring to ducting installed in glacial tunnels in Norway for Statkraft, a government owned energy producer)

“I will be making many people very happy by specifying Spiralite. We have rated it as Excellent and it’s now in the British Embassy in Moscow, having been approved for all British Government buildings worldwide.”

Dean Guerin, Senior M&E Engineer at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office

“We simply could not find another product that gave us the insulation, airflow and aesthetic qualities that we required. Remember that the air is something like minus 4 degrees C on the roof and needed to arrive at the fridges at about the same temperature without rivers of condensation on the way”

Steve Shipp, Managing Director, Ultra Refrigeration
